Licensing, updates and support
Your licence status shows in the palette and through Run diagnostics: pro and trial mean active, expired or unassigned means access has lapsed, and offline means the last server check failed and a saved copy is in use. Updates are checked automatically. Running diagnostics before contacting support answers most of what a first reply would ask.
License problem
The status tells you where you stand. Pro and trial mean you are active. Trial expired or expired means access has lapsed. Unassigned means your email has no seat yet. Offline means the last server check failed, so a saved copy of your license is being used in the meantime.
Step 1. Run diagnostics to see the current status.
Step 2. If the status says expired or unassigned, contact your manager or email support@setline.ai.
If your email address is wrong or has changed, your manager can reassign the seat from the Manager Portal.
Run diagnostics
Run diagnostics sits on the Assistant. It runs seven checks in one pass and prints each result as its own line: drawing health, plugin version, license, account, Civil 3D, recent log errors, and connectivity.
Every line is marked and coloured, so the failures are the ones to read: a tick for a pass, an information mark for something worth knowing, a warning, and a cross for a failure.
Run it before you contact support and paste the result in. It answers most of what a first reply would otherwise have to ask you, and it pulls the most recent errors out of your log so you do not have to find them.
Updating the plugin
Updates are checked for automatically, so this rarely needs thinking about.
When a new version is ready an indicator appears on the palette. Press it to download and install.
Do not leave it too long. If your version falls below the server minimum, commands are blocked until you update.
Run diagnostics to compare your version against the current and minimum versions.
Logs and bug reports
The log file is at %APPDATA%\Setline\SheetAgent\agent.log. Pasting that path into File Explorer opens it.
To report a bug, press Report Bug in the palette's Project Management section, describe what happened, and paste any error message.
Running diagnostics first is worth the extra few seconds: it pulls the most recent errors from your log so you can include them.
Contacting support
The Setline team is reachable at support@setline.ai.
Include your company name, the version shown in the palette footer, and what you were doing when the problem happened. Running diagnostics first and pasting the results in speeds things up considerably.
